At Christy’s Foundation Food Relief Program, we are committed to providing families with access to nutritious, fresh food to support healthy lifestyles. Our weekly food distributions offer a wide variety of healthy ingredients, including fresh produce, meats, and pantry staples, to ensure every family can prepare wholesome meals.

We distribute food at two locations:

  • Northridge Location: Every Thursday from 12 PM – 2 PM
    Northridge Mall, 1st floor, across from Old Navy

  • Glendale Location: Every Wednesday from 12 PM – 2 PM
    Glendale Galleria, Corner of Orange and Broadway

Whether you’re looking for a quick weeknight dinner or a wholesome family meal, here are a few simple recipes using ingredients we provide at our weekly food giveaways. These recipes are designed to help you make the most out of your meat options in a healthy and delicious way.

Healthy Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 2 cups of mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, etc.)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken strips and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and cook for 4-5 minutes, until tender.
  5. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well.
  6. Serve with brown rice or quinoa for a balanced, healthy meal.
