Christy’s Foundation is seeking a passionate and engaging Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist to lead our weekly Nutrition Workshops for individuals and families participating in our Food Relief Program.

This is an opportunity to educate, inspire, and empower our community by teaching practical nutrition skills using the foods distributed through our free grocery program. The ideal candidate enjoys public speaking, community outreach, and helping others build healthier lifestyles.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead weekly nutrition workshops for community members.
• Teach participants how to prepare healthy, affordable meals using foods distributed by Christy’s Foundation.
• Explain basic nutrition concepts, including portion sizes, food labels, balanced meals, and healthy eating habits.
• Develop easy-to-follow recipes and educational materials.
• Demonstrate healthy cooking techniques and meal planning.
• Answer participant questions and provide practical nutrition guidance.
• Support special events, health fairs, and community outreach programs.
• Collaborate with the Christy’s Foundation team to expand our Nutrition Education Program.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) preferred or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Experience teaching nutrition classes, workshops, or community education programs.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and comfortable speaking to groups.
• Passion for serving the community and improving public health.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
